Laser World of Photonics trade fairs and their congresses are the most important marketplaces and think tanks for the global laser and photonics industry and those who use its products and solutions. They unite research and application and promote the use and further development of the Photonics industry. Laser World of Photonics has been organized by Messe München every two years since 1973. The World of Photonics Congress is held at the same time as the fair. It is the leading European scientific conference in the sector for photonics and laser research and one of the Top 3 in the world. The spin-off exhibition Laser World of Photonics China is the leading regional trade fair for the Photonics industry in China. It takes place every year in March. Since 2012, Laser World of Photonics India takes place annually. It is the regional platform for the laser and photonics community in India.
New since 2022 is the World of Quantum, which, as a trade fair platform for the quantum community, will in future be held parallel toLaser World of Photonics and address all components and systems of quantum technologies as well as the fields of application.
Laser World of Photonics, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Photonics Components, Systems and Applications, takes place in Munich every two years.

A co-exhibitor is a company or organization whose own employees present its products and services at the stand of a main exhibitor. This includes group companies and subsidiaries. You can get the link to the online registration for co-exhibitors from your main exhibitor. The registration form for co-exhibitors is available only upon request and must be signed by the main exhibitor.
A joint exhibitor is a company or organization whose own employees present its products and services at a shared stand organized by a shared stand organizer. The registration form for an exhibitor at a shared stand must be signed by the organizer.
Free WiFi service is available to visitors throughout the trade-fair center and in the halls. Once you have entered the access code, you may use the service for one day and for a data volume of up to 50 MB. Here you will find additional information about using the visitor WiFi.
Due to the above limitations, we highly recommend that exhibitors order a LAN connection for their stands.
Smoking is generally prohibited in the exhibition halls. Please smoke only in designated smoking areas.
No, according to Messe München´s house and user rules it is not allowed to bring animals onto the exhibition grounds with the exception of guide dogs and other assistance dogs.
You may check your coat or luggage in all entrances to the Messe München trade-fair center.
Photography at the trade-fair center is only permitted if authorized in advance by Messe München.
Messe München was designed and built barrier-free. Contact us by telephone or e-mail ahead of time to get information about special admission fees and parking alternatives as these can vary, depending on the event.

To participate in Laser World of Photonics as a main or co-exhibitor, you must be eligible to be admitted to one of the fair’s exhibition sectors.

Yes, but the number of vouchers that each person can redeem is limited to the number of days of the fair.
If you have received a voucher, the ticket is free of charge to you because the exhibitor who invited you to the fair is paying for it. Because the exhibitor is only charged for the ticket when you pass through the turnstiles to attend the fair, there is no need to cancel or inform our ticket service if you do not use the ticket.
Each person needs to register separately to order a ticket.
If multiple vouchers for 1-day tickets are used to order tickets to attend the fair on more than one day, the name of the person placing the order will appear on all the tickets.
If various people want to use vouchers for 1-day tickets, each person must register separately.
Important: Because Print@home Tickets are only valid for a specific individual and are not transferrable, you may be required to present an official photo ID at the fair.

Once you have finished ordering your ticket online, you can download and save it in PDF format. In addition, a Print@home Ticket will be sent to the e-mail address that you provided. Please keep an eye out for an e-mail sent by: ticketing@messe-muenchen.de
In exceptional cases, e.g. if the server is busy, it may take up to 24 hours to send your ticket.
You can print out your PDF Print@home Ticket with the Adobe Reader or click on the link in the e-mail to print out your ticket.
Once you have placed your order, you can download and save it in PDF format. In addition, your Print@home Ticket will be sent to you by e-mail. You should receive that e-mail right away, but in some cases it may take up to 24 hours after you place your order.
In rare cases, e-mails may end up in your e-mail account's spam filter. Please check your spam folder or contact your administrator.

Yes, you simply have to scan the ticket on your smartphone at the turnstiles to enter.
If you have a valid ticket, you may attend the fair on the day or days of your choice. Multiple-day tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days.
If (in exceptional cases) your ticket is only valid on a specific day(s), the day(s) on which the ticket is valid will be printed explicitly on the ticket.

In the event of Customer being a consumer as defined in § 13 BGB [German Civil Code], due to § 312 {g}, Clause 2, Nos. 9 BGB consumer will not have the right to cancel according to § 355 BGB for Tickets.
No, tickets with personal particulars (e.g. your name) are not generally transferable.
Multiple-day tickets may also only be used by one person.

Every validated barcode is recognized as such by the electronic access control system, and ticket-holders who try to use a copied online ticket will be denied access.
If you lose your ticket and are afraid that whoever finds it might use it to attend the fair, please contact us by e-mail at registrierung@messe-muenchen.de so that we can block your lost ticket.
After you place your order, your Print@home Ticket will be sent to the e-mail address that you provided and in a separate e-mail you will receive your ticket invoice.
