Registration counters

The registration counters for the World of Photonics Congress are located at the main west entrance of the exhibition center of Munich International Trade Fairs.

Each partner of the World of Photonics Congress has its own registration counters. If you have any questions about the conferences, please contact the relevant desk.

Speakers’ service

All speakers are requested to upload their presentations to a secure server at least one (1) hour before the start of the session. The upload link and login details will be sent directly to speakers approximately two weeks before the event.

On arrival, all speakers must check their presentations at the Speakers' Check-In. The Speakers' Check-In is located on the 1st floor of the ICM Foyer - International Congress Centre Munich.

Please note that due to time constraints, it is not possible to plug in the speaker's laptop/hardware for the presentation directly in the conference room. It is also not possible to upload presentations directly into the conference room using the installed presentation laptop.

Catering

On a self-pay basis: Coffee and snacks in the ICM Cafe in the ICM foyer from 07:30 and light lunches from 12:00 to 14:00. Except on Sundays, when the ICM Cafe opens at 08:00.

For free: Coffee/tea and refreshments from 10:00 to 10:30 and from 15:30 to 16:00:

• For all participants in the ICM foyer
• Rooms A11 und A12: service is brought into the rooms
• Rooms B11, B12, B13: service in the vestibule between room B12/ B13
• Rooms B21, B22, B32: service in the vestibule between room B21/ B22

Free WiFi

We offer free wireless Internet access (WLAN) in the ICM Congress Centre and in the conference rooms used for the congress to all congress participants with a WiFi-enabled device. The internet has unlimited bandwidth and download volume.

How it works:

• Turn on WiFi on your device.
• Search for wireless networks and connect to the WoPCongress2025 network.
• Launch your internet browser.
• The free WiFi portal page will appear on the screen.
• Once you have accepted the terms and conditions, you will be able to access the Internet.
• You only need to log in once for the duration of the event.

We have also set up working lounges in the ICM foyer, where you can sit down at any time.

Poster sessions

Poster sessions will take place from Monday to Friday during the lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00 in hall B0.

Authors are requested to display their posters in the morning of the day of presentation. Poster presentations can remain on the boards until 18:00 on the allocated day.

Fixing material will be provided at the information counter in front of hall B0.

Networking events

Take advantage of the many new contacts you can make at this year's networking events in the ICM foyer:

Monday, 17:30 to 19:00: Happy Hour, sponsored by EPS, music and drinks

Monday, from 17:30: Mentoring Opportunity, linked to Happy Hour, networking event for first-time attendees and all those who are interested in getting to know new contacts, perspectives and insights

Tuesday, 17:30 to 19:00: Beer & Pretzel, sponsored by SPIE, music, drinks, beer and pretzels
