Biography

Martin Thom studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena. He holds a degree in communications engineering and international management. After starting his career in the virtual vehicle department at BMW (2006-2007) as a design engineer, he implemented numerous virtual reality solutions at international automotive OEMs as a senior consultant at 3DExcite (2008-2013). He then joined TRUMPF Medical as Head of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for prototyping and assembly of new medical devices (2013-2019). Martin Thom started at ZEISS in 2019 as Head of Business Development & Project Management for innovative microoptics and holographic applications.
